The Marine Industry Dealership Certification program wrapped up its first complete year with strong industry support and participation.

As of January 31, 2009:

• Total Dealerships Enrolled in the Marine Industry Dealership Certification program: 630
• Marine Industry Certified Dealerships: 444
• Manufacturer brands offering financial support to their dealers who complete the Marine Industry Dealerships Certification program: 23
• DiscoverBoating.com
  • All Marine Industry Certified Dealerships are listed on the DiscoverBoating website which was visited by more than 3,200,000 individual consumers in 2007. In 2008 another 3,440,000 visits occured. 
  • Over 64 Million impressions have been generated by the Certified Dealerships consumer promotion campaign.
  • Over 40,000 consumers have viewed the Certified Dealer listings on DiscoverBoating in 2008 and more than 11,000 accessed a Certified Dealers web page directly from the links provided on DiscoverBoting.com
  • Marine Industry Certified Dealerships also gain direct access to leads generated by the DiscoverBoating website. More than 17,000 hot leads were generated in 2008.

Dealer Certification actively addresses one of the main issues that has limited growth in our industry: customer service.

The dealership certification process features a set of standards for dealers to attain and provides tools that enable participants to enhance the retail experience and provide every customer with a positive retail experience, every time.

Marine Industry Certified Dealerships' CSI Scores Improve at Faster Rate:

The cumulative NMMA CSI scores of Certified Dealerships was higher than that of non-certified dealerships.
